Inspired by the authentic, off-the-beaten-path experiences of classic road trips, California 101 Travelers Guide encourages readers to slow down and explore the rich culture, hidden communities, and diverse adventures of Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties. The client envisioned a brand identity that felt nostalgic, vibrant, and fun.

Our approach

We developed a cohesive visual identity that captures this retro, adventurous spirit. The system features a versatile suite of logos designed to span seamlessly across their website, print magazine, merchandise, and social media, highlighting iconic California imagery and the legendary Highway 101. In addition, we design the cover for the magazine.
