The Approach & Strategy
Ventura Land Trust needed a robust digital ecosystem that balanced rich storytelling with seamless operational utility. The brief called for a modern, intuitive hub to unite their initiatives, honor the ancestral territory of the Chumash people, and streamline donations and events.
Willhouse began with a collaborative discovery and audit process to define VLT’s vision and functional requirements. To ensure a unified brand identity across physical and digital touchpoints, the visual direction was drawn directly from their primary logo and the illustrative style of the Harmon Canyon kiosk panels we previously designed. Every technical element—from strict WCAG3 accessibility compliance to multi-platform integrations—was planned with intention to serve a diverse, community-wide audience across all devices.
